Philosophy
The physical
education and health program is an integral part of the total education process.
A person who is physically, mentally, socially and emotionally healthy should
develop a positive lifestyle. A sequential comprehensive PreK-8 health
program will impart and facilitate access to health knowledge as well as
promote desirable values, attitudes and skills. The primary concern is to
provide a continuous developmental program that contributes to the total
growth of the individual student and encourages an active, healthy and productive
lifestyle. Through appropriate, planned and guided activities, the
program provides opportunities for developing physical, emotional, social,
and intellectual fitness.
