Eden Grove Academy is unique
in several important areas.
1. We have been in the community since
1921, with a span of 80 years of teaching and ministering to those who
desire to attend. In the early years, Eden Grove Academy was a boarding
school. Over the years, as society and culture has changed, Eden
Grove Academy has sought to meet the current needs of those we serve, while
maintaining strong academics, and high Biblical standards.
2. We are interdenominational. Eden
Grove Academy seeks to be inclusive, not exclusive. We have a statement
of faith which we base our teaching on, however, we realize that people
can and do work together for the kingdom of God who may not agree on all
issues in Christianity. We seek to focus on our similarities and
work together in a spirit of love and acceptance.
3. Our desire is to reach out to the community
with the gospel. (Our mission statement shares this.) We do
not close our doors to those who are not an integrated part of the church.
However, we view our role as a school that looks to be a light to all children,
not just to those who are from a Christian background. Many of our
parents have been brought to faith in Christ through the children who attend
Eden Grove Academy through the teaching of the Word and the example of
our godly staff and administration. We encourage parents to attend
church and set a godly example in the home when registering at Eden Grove
Academy. It is our prayer that children who attend our school are
taken to a place of worship weekly, such as Sunday School and Church.
4. We work together with parents to nurture
our students in every way possible. Students who attend Eden Grove
Academy are viewed as unique and precious before God. We at Eden
Grove Academy work together with parents to help each child succeed in
academic work as well as personal growth. If a student needs extra
help in either academic or social ways, our administration and faculty
seek to provide whatever support and/or counsel to parents and students
available.
5. Our students are our family. We,
at Eden Grove Academy, know your child by name. Our desire is that
your children feel that special warmth and joy by being a part of our Eden
Grove “family.” Our parents are a part of our “team”. We seek
to minister to the whole family and be an example to the children we educate
and influence.
6. Growth is in the future for Eden Grove
Academy. At this time we have a student body of 120. It is
projected that we will have steady growth in the next few years.
Our school has plans in place for a Gym and 8 new classrooms to be added
on to the current primary building. Our vision is for our school
to grow and become an even greater influence in our community. With
God’s help, this will be accomplished in the next few years. “Come
Grow with Us!”
